We provide help and advice for sponsors and Ukrainian families in a number of areas, as set out below.

Clothing

A pop-up shop is available at Frensham Heights School, Rowledge GU10 4EA with a range of clothing and footwear available for families. The shop is open on most  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 4.15 and 5.30 pm.  Please park in the general car park and the shop is found in the Aldridge Theatre, a new building immediately facing the car park on the same side of the road.

 

Booking a visit to the shop: Please note that you must book an appointment to visit the shop.

Food and Essentials

Food is available from the following organisations:

Jobs

A Job Club is held every Monday between 1 and 3 pm at Farnham Town Hall, South Street, Farnham GU9 7RN.

Hale Community Centre also holds a job club on Tuesday mornings between 10am to 12.30pm.

Specialist advisers will help you to refine your CV, guide you towards agencies or other job portals where jobs are posted and provide general advice on the process of finding jobs in the UK and specifically the Farnham area.

You don’t need to book an appointment – just turn up!

In addition, job opportunities will be posted on the FHFU Facebook group as and when we are made aware by prospective employers, so please subscribe to the group.

Activities And Social Events

​There will be a range of social events ranging from welcome sessions, meet-ups for teenagers and other social gatherings, through to informal catch-ups. These will all be posted on the FHFU Facebook group and a list of events is maintained on the FHFU Calendar.
